Jeera Alu fry

Jeera Alu 

Its the most simple recipe that you can ever make. I usually make this during crunch time :) My amma used to make this curry for our lunch box during our school days. Within minutes my lunch box used to vanish because all my friends used to just gobble it up quickly.

Here goes the simple recipe

Cooking time – 15

Ingredients

potatoes – 2 medium size

Tadka

Jeera

Salt to taste

Chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Dhaniya powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Method :-

Cut the potatoes into small pieces. Pour some oil into a pan. Add jeera and let it splutter. 

Add the potato pieces and stir it well so that oil is uniformly coated. Add salt, chilli powder, and dhaniya powder and let it cook. Keep stirring it and within 15 minutes its done!! You can garnish it with coriandar leaves or sprinkle lemon juice and it will turn out to be a tasty snack!

Another variation of this curry is the microwave method. After cutting the potato pieces, apply oil and microwave it for 10 min (on High). After first 5 minutes are over, stir it a little bit and then again microwave for 5 more min. The potato comes out really crispy.
